Trust

A deliberate process sometimes concludes with no introduction. Because every submission is read by a person, a no is a considered answer, not a dead end. Here is exactly what happens when the fit is not there.

When it happens

Your country of residence

The specialists in our network can act for clients in many countries, but not every country. If no firm in the network can serve where you live, we say so rather than stretch a match.

UK residents

Pharos does not currently work with UK residents. The UK has a well-established domestic advice market, and the FCA maintains a public register of authorised firms you can consult directly.

The service you need

Some situations call for a professional our network does not cover, such as a pure tax accountant or a lawyer. An introduction to the wrong kind of specialist would waste your time, so we decline instead.

When an introduction would not help

Occasionally a submission is read and the honest conclusion is that a specialist engagement is not what the situation needs yet. A forced match serves nobody, least of all you.

What happens next

01

We tell you plainly

You hear from us either way. If we cannot make an introduction, you are told directly, not left waiting.

02

Your details go nowhere

No introduction means no sharing. Your submission is not passed to any firm, sold, or added to anyone’s list. It is retained under our privacy policy’s retention period and then deleted, and you can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

03

The door stays open

Circumstances change: a move, a new pension, a different question. You are welcome to submit again whenever your situation does, and the review starts fresh.

Good to know

No match, answered

Will you refer me to another company if you cannot help?

No. If we cannot make an introduction, your details are not passed to anyone. Where it is useful, we may point you towards public resources, such as your local regulator’s register of authorised firms, but that is signposting, not a referral, and your information stays with us.

What happens to my data if no introduction is made?

It is retained under the retention period in our privacy policy and then deleted. You can also ask us to delete it sooner at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer.

I live in the UK. Where can I look instead?

Pharos does not currently work with UK residents. The FCA’s Financial Services Register lists authorised firms, and MoneyHelper, the UK government-backed guidance service, is a good starting point for free, impartial information.

Can I ask again later?

Yes. A no today is about fit today, not a judgement on your situation. If you move country, your holdings change, or your question changes, submit again and a person will read it fresh.

Start your request

The residence check is the first step of the form, so you find out early whether the network can serve where you live. It takes about five minutes and commits you to nothing.

We review every submission before any introduction is considered.
